Licence

How the licence works

US$29

One payment

Buy Hangar Pro once. There is no subscription and nothing renews on its own.

12 months

Updates, then renew

Every version released in your 12 months is yours to keep. Renew for US$15 for another 12 months of updates.

2 Macs

One person, two Macs

One licence is for one person on up to 2 Macs. To move to a new Mac, deactivate an old one in Hangar or in your Alienworld account. A Mac unused for 90 days frees its place by itself.

60 days

Works offline

Hangar checks the licence about once a week. Pro keeps working for 60 days without a connection.

14 days

Refunds

Changed your mind? Full refund within 14 days of buying, no questions asked.

Questions

Pricing questions

Do I need a card or an account for the trial?

No. The 14-day trial of Hangar Pro starts the first time you open Hangar, and it belongs to that Mac. There is nothing to fill in and no card to enter.

Do I need an account?

Not to download or try Hangar. Your Alienworld account is created when you buy, using your purchase email, and you can sign in with Apple, Google, a password or an emailed link.

What happens when the trial ends?

Hangar becomes Hangar Free, permanently: a complete file manager for your Mac. You see one short note explaining what changed, and it does not come back. Your saved connections, sync profiles and rename presets stay listed and can be exported. A copy that started during the trial always finishes.

What happens after my 12 months of updates?

Nothing stops working, and the licence never expires. You keep every version released during your 12 months, with all of Hangar Pro, for good.

When you want newer versions, renew for US$15 to get another 12 months of updates. A version released after your updates end runs as Hangar Free until you renew.

Is this a subscription?

No. Hangar Pro is a one-time purchase. Renewing for more updates is optional and never automatic.

How many Macs can I use it on?

One licence is for one person on up to 2 Macs. To move to a new Mac, deactivate an old one in Hangar or in your Alienworld account. A Mac unused for 90 days frees its place by itself.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. Changed your mind? You get a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. Ask through Paddle's receipt email or contact support, and Paddle processes it.

A refunded licence stops working as Pro the next time Hangar checks in, and Hangar Free carries on. If your local consumer law gives you longer, that still applies.

Does Hangar run on Intel Macs?

No. Hangar is built for Apple silicon. It requires a Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 15 or later.

Which currency, and is tax included?

Prices are in US dollars. Tax such as VAT or GST is added at checkout where it applies, based on where you live. Your bank may convert the total to your own currency.

Who handles the payment?

Our orders are handled by Paddle.com, our reseller and the Merchant of Record for every purchase. Paddle takes the payment, works out the tax, issues your invoice and processes refunds. Your card details go to Paddle, never to us.
